Surgery + Radiation

In June 2018 I had a breast lumpectomy and 17 lymph nodes removed. Surgery seemed like a breeze after those long droning months of chemo. And it was a success, the surgeons said, clean margins. I had about a month to heal and then started radiation. These new drawings reflected the lightness I was feeling. And the whimsy, I think. There’s such possibility in turning a page.
